Why dental IT is priced per location

$350 / $650 / $1,200 is per roof, not per doctor and not per operatory as a hidden multiplier. Concierge is the exception that is quoted.

The price does not multiply by the number of doctors, and it is not a per-operatory fee in disguise. Multi-location groups and DSOs are quoted on Concierge.

How is CyberDental priced?

Per location, per month. A location is a physical dental office: one address, one network, one server closet. The three published plans are Remote $350, Priority $650 and Ultimate $1,200 per location per month. Concierge is quoted individually.

Why per location and not per doctor or per seat?

Because the cost of supporting a dental office tracks the environment, not the headcount. A firewall, a switch, a server or cloud connection, a backup, a PMS and an imaging system are needed whether two doctors work in the office or four. Per-seat pricing, common in generic IT, makes a busy practice look expensive for the wrong reason and pushes quiet practices toward under-protection. Per-location pricing is predictable: you know what a new office costs before you open it.

Is it secretly per operatory?

No. The plan price does not climb with each additional operatory. Larger offices differ in workload, and that is a scoping conversation at the start, but the published price is the price for a location on that plan.

Why is Concierge different?

Past a handful of locations, a group's needs stop looking like "N copies of one office": shared standards, consolidated reporting, centralized vendor management, onboarding of acquired practices. What is not included in the monthly price?

Managed service is the monthly fee. Hardware purchases and one-time projects, such as a new-office build-out or a server replacement, are quoted separately. PMS licenses are not sold by CyberDental. See We do not sell PMS licenses.

How should I compare quotes from other providers?

Ask each provider what the price is per, and what is outside it. The comparison that matters is cost per location for a defined scope: response commitment, after-hours coverage, security stack, backup verification, compliance support and vendor management. The cost of an hour of downtime gives a way to put the monthly fee in context.
