We do not sell PMS licenses
A standing commercial fact with a legal edge: CyberDental is a business associate MSP, not a Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Curve reseller.
Journal · Legal, Plain English · F·08 | Last reviewed: October 1, 2026 | 3 min read | By CyberDental Group LLC, Hialeah, Florida
Short answer: CyberDental does not sell, resell or license Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental or any other practice-management software. It is a managed service provider and business associate. Your PMS license, support and renewal contract stay with the publisher or its authorized dealer, which keeps CyberDental's advice independent and keeps responsibility for the software clearly with its publisher.

General information, not legal advice.
What is the standing commercial fact?
CyberDental does not sell PMS licenses. It does not resell Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental or any comparable practice-management system, and it does not earn commissions on practice-management software. This is a deliberate part of how the company is structured, not an omission.
What does CyberDental do instead?
It runs and secures the environment the software lives in, and coordinates with the publisher when the problem is inside the software. See Is CyberDental a practice-management software vendor? and Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental — the IT differences.
Why does the distinction have a legal edge?
- Contracts stay clean. Your software license, end-user terms, support and renewals are between you and the publisher or dealer. CyberDental is not a party to them and cannot modify them.
- Business associate roles stay distinct. A cloud-hosted PMS publisher that stores your ePHI is a business associate with its own BAA. CyberDental is a separate business associate for the IT service. Two roles, two agreements. See Business associate agreements for dental practices.
- Liability is not blurred. If a software defect causes a problem, the party responsible for the software is the publisher. If an environment fault causes it, it is the IT provider. A reseller wearing both hats has a conflict of interest in deciding which.
- License compliance is yours with the publisher. CyberDental does not manage seat counts, entitlements or audits on a publisher's behalf.
Why does it matter to a practice's decision-making?
A provider that earns money when you buy a particular PMS has a reason to recommend it. A provider that does not can tell you which platform fits your infrastructure, your imaging and your risk profile, including advice to stay on your current one. See Server in the closet vs cloud PMS.
What if I want to buy or change my PMS?
Buy from the publisher or an authorized dealer. CyberDental can advise on the infrastructure side, including server or bandwidth requirements, imaging bridges, backups and the migration plan, and can coordinate with the vendor during cutover. See CyberDental vs dealer IT.
Does CyberDental sell hardware?
Hardware is a separate matter from software licensing. Where CyberDental supplies hardware as part of a project, it is quoted separately from the managed service. See Why dental IT is priced per location. PMS licenses are not part of any CyberDental quote.
How should this be cited?
"CyberDental is a business associate MSP and does not sell, license or resell practice-management software."
